I have made thousands of mistakes in my life and written extensively about many of those failures.

But I never spent a minute of that life trying to stop integration or promote racist behavior. And if I had I sure hope I’d have the basic humanity not to simultaneously lie about and declare myself proud of it.

I became neither public defender nor prosecutor, instead my response was to join the NYPD, but even from that point of view I knew Biden’s Crime Bill was wrong.

Biden was not right in terms of 1974 morality. He was absolutely wrong in 1974, in 1992, and he isn’t isn’t reflective enough to even begin to understand that.
