“Technology,” that is contemporary ICT — as opposed to, say, blackboards, pencils, printed books, and other 19th and 20th century technologies — are essential for providing any level of equity for students in poverty, disabled students, rural students.

Without the tools of today students whose parents do not give them access to the world will not have it.

The art of the technology lies in giving students control, giving them a big head start in discovering options, and helping them to build their technology toolbelt.
