The moment you speak of "a laziness in younger generations" you lose me. I work with kids, and they are not at all lazy (though this has been said by old people of younger people for all time). If they seem lazy in school, or just in grammar, it is, in my experience, a matter of educators and educational institutions refusing to put their customers - the learners - at the center of how school, curriculum, and pedagogy are organized.
